PLEASE READ THE INFO:
This is a cover of the track Alpha by Vangelis (and maybe Jean Michel Jarre).
There is a story behind this one.
Back in 2002-2003 a friend of mine (by the name P. Hristov a.k.a. Paul Artex) heard the main melody from the TV and played it to me. We didnt know who was the original author so we created our version and played it around in school.
Fast forward to 2012 – (Still not knowing the original author) I decided to make a new more epic sounding version of the track and unintentionally turned out something closer to “Conquest of Paradise” and named it “The March of the Last Paladins”.
In 2013 my father (a big JMJ fan) found the original tune and showed it to me. I was a bit shocked to know that all this time it was a composition made by no other than Vangelis (and maybe JMJ?).
So in 2014 I made the final edit and decided to share it ๐ You can think of this version as “Alpha” meets “Conquest of Paradise”. ๐
Also people familiar with the original will notice the slight change in the harmony progression and the tempo. Its intentional. ๐
Hope you’ll enjoy it as it is quite different from my other tracks. ๐
P.S. – Wait till the end. It might surprise you ๐
